Welcome to Potato Software! What is this about ? Yes, it is not a company name : it is about a personal website. Who am I ? I am a telecommunication engineer, a C++ developer and a chess programmer or so do I describe myself. More importantly what can you find in this website ? Potato software will be dedicated to three things : chess, C++ development productivity tools and artificial intelligence integration in custom applications. Outside the daily work time, I am vowed to invest the remaining time and mental energy into the concretization of amateur applications' ideas in the above fields and which will be publicied here in this web place. Interest in developments productivity tools spawned from a personal conviction that development productivity is a key goal that influences the way how we innovate new programming langages and give advances to software technologies. Artificial intelligence is a very explored field, yet not so fully applied. Applying strong reasoning capabilities in a narrow situation is still a very expensive process. Moreover, developers are still not so well convinced of the long-term advantages of having to devise their applications architectures so to have a separate reasoning logic that grows independently of the inputs/outputs of their applications domains. Efforts in this field are a personal priority given the very dependence of many future ideas on the ability to solve some issues in the present. Easy Profiler was born from a personal need for an easy to use and efficient performance profiling. The idea was first published on a blog, then soon I seized its concretization as a means to create Potato software website, have startup content on it and pave the way for the major things to come.
